The Radical Homosexual Agenda
In case nobody’s heard of these folks, they’ve been focusing greatly on NYC’s new parade permit bullshit, asserting their right to march where they want, when they want.
Why do we call ourselves the RHA? “Beware the Radical Homosexual Agenda!” That’s the Right Wing’s rallying cry. It’s meant to conjure a legion of pink-clad, poly-loving, left-of-left queers who are threatening to invade Small Town America. Well, that description sounds sort of nice to us, too, actually. Except for the invasion part—’cause we’re also anti-imperialist. And besides, we’ve been in those small towns and everywhere else all along.

Just goes to show what happens when assimilationist gays and lesbians get into power. No better than anyone else. Get their piece of the pie and they act like the rest of the nasty,moldy,dusty pie. Of course Quinn will sell anyone down the river just to get what she wants. Allowing the police to make the rules is a crime and Quinn should be held accountable by all of us. She doesn’t even know our history. I wonder sometime if the many in the g&l community who want to join the morally corrupt system and become one with them are really our sisters and brothers in this struggle? I have felt for along time (”gee” since the breakup of the GLF and the forming of the one issue GAA) that some are on a very different road than I. As I read about what is happening all around the country with the “we made it crowd” and their action against the rest of us I am convinced that I have less in common with many in the “mainstream” LGBT movement, with their issues and desires and have more in common and in solidarity with the Communists, Socialists, Anarchists and Progressive Queers. Too bad some on the left are also fooled by the little rich darlings crying oppression. One time I told one of them when she was tearing up over the West Hartford pool issue that I would pull her hair and really make her cry! Ha! I know after years of batting my head against the “mainstream” gay and lesbian walls I really don’t like them and don’t care how far they think they have come or what their agenda is. The “I do”, “I do” crowd makes me want to puke. Quinn is a fascist and should be treated like one. A BIG thank you to the folks of the RHA. Let Quinn and any others hear loud and Queer, “We are your danger and you shall know, No ba ba helpless little lambs are we!”

thanks m(A)tt for the posting. RHA, like FIERCE takes on vital queer and social justice issues in NYC while many gays and lesbians simply “fiddle on”! Maybe we should bring back the Radical Feminist Queers here in Hartford (Adam, you listening =-)
