All this hair pulling, All this nail biting.
Oh, what a game. Does this game make our democracy great? This running back and forth, these sleepless nights, this nail biting and hair pulling, this rushing, this competition, this stress. It all turns my mind to anger.
Anger like you wouldn’t believe. Anger that my good friends, people I love and respect in the Trans community are being put through this same old bullshit. Then I read some straight g & l blogger saying that the Trans community shouldn’t “feel angered” or say that they have been “thrown under the bus.” Come on guys and gals, shouldn’t we let the Trans community tell us how they feel. After all most of you just jumped on this bandwagon a few years ago. Oh, yes I have anger that g & l people can speak such crap as if the Trans community can’t speak for its self. So this week its become a race, a race to a finish line and at that line is preordained defeat. But still here we go, we collected more votes than you, more people on our side, we see ourselves as the winners, we speak out and everyone hears. My e-box has been filled each day with ENDA alerts telling me what is expected of me this day. I mostly do my duties go through the motions as a “gay” American. But then I remember the ocean between most gays, America and I a queer. They tell me I must do this and I must do that. And I do it for a community I love. I do it because I am damn sick of Barney Frank and the whole crew. We need to convince our “friends” and our enemies in high places why we want what we want and why what is happening isn’t very nice. All the while knowing full well that this bill hasn’t got a snowballs chance in hell of being signed into law by George Bush a despicable enemy of our people and countless millions of others all around this world. But we have to put some effort into this game. Remember to grovel just a bit, to beg just a bit, to plea some, all to get representatives to do what we want. Never mind the reps just doing what is right and remove the tyrannical aspect of democracy forever and forever from our midst. Never mind these reps just doing what is right and standing up on the side of justice without having to hear from a half million people. I don’t find this democracy amusing at all. I don’t find this begging becoming. I have no respect for this type of so called democracy where tyranny by the majority is the rule. In fact I’ll go out on a limb and quote, (can’t remember who) “Too much democracy is not a good thing.” Just think if people really hated LGBT people. Why they would use this democracy to pass laws against us. (Insert a ha! ha! please.) Then lets read the list of shit that we have been put through. Oh, these spineless reps who go along with it all because they don’t want to lose their jobs while creating hell and turmoil for our people. Not wanting to offend the terribly offensive hateful Americans of the U.S. Right Wing Society. For me I have say, “I have got to get out of this “rights” game. I don’t want to play with these Washington losers. It’s the wrong road and being on the wrong road will get one lost on the wrong road. I am getting on the right road, shaping my mind, heart, actions to creating revolution in this country. Every time these bastards come up with a new “something” they make it so difficult that we feel we must act. When will we learn that misleaders are playing us? Oh their game is a never ending twisted game. Isn’t this our democracy great we think. Not realizing or forgetting and getting caught up in the moment and reacting the way they want us to react, meanwhile conquering and dividing us and all the while saying, “look democracy in action.” We need a revolution that will do what is right, where there will be freedom and equality for all and justice will be served. Really darling why the hell would any queer worth their weight want their fate in the hands of those straight bastards that occupy the seats of power in Washington DC? Oh what a fine line there is between loving so and wanting to blow it——-better not finish that thought as they have their spy eyes and ears on all of us, and both the twin parties of pigs have their nose in our business. When will we ever learn? And just so no one will think that every thing will be cool once we pass laws remember laws are like hair, here today gone tomorrow. A law is a law. It can be voted in and voted out. It can stay in as long as you have a majority. I have to love it. This just in from the ENDA Coalition. The Coalition was told on Friday October 12 that the House Leadership intends to move forward with a non-inclusive sexual orientation only, bill on next Thursday. So here we go again, those straights in Washington DC giving us something that we don’t want and thinking they have given us something good. Then they say, “If this sexual orientation bill passes, we will be back for the trans community.” With friends like these—. And we just keep coming back for more, we need a bit more of their crap. Well it sure is stinky, I think. Why haven’t the glbt groups realized it and learned some lessons after DOMA, DADT and all the nasty rhetoric coming for years out of the mouths of DC. Such a shame. A chant that we used once was this: “The 2 party system is a pox, Our dreams don’t fit in your ballot box.” Enough said, for now.
