One person of intrest that the article forgot is Peter Tatchell who was one of the organizers of GLF and Peter continues today fighting for not only queer rights but global justice.

In 1973 Tachell was a GLF delegate to the World Youth Festival in East Berlin. He brought thousands of GLF leaflets into the country. His speech on gay liberation at the Youth Rights Conference at Humbot University went ahead despite efforts by Communist officals to drag him off the stage. Peter was also blocked from laying a pink triangle wreath at the former concentration camp at Sachsenhausen.
