Protest Racism in State Government!

Whether it’s the physical assault on young Nashawn Williams by a KKK-type gang in Plainfield,
or the placement of nooses throughout Connecticut,
or the internal harassment, taunting and discrimination against Andrew Crumbie of the State Police,

RACISM is rearing its ugly head throughout the state.

Background Information:

Attorney Andrew Crumbie is an 18-year veteran of the State Police with degrees in law and management.

He most recently served as Chief of Staff, the highest ranking minority in the agency. A year ago, Lisa Moody, the Governor’s Chief of Staff, dismissed him from his position without explanation or justification. Prior to that, during the 2.5 years he served as Chief of Staff, he was subjected to the following racist treatment:

– he was called a “n****r”

– he had his department portrait taped on the bathroom floor in front of the urinal

– he was locked out of his building by the assistant director (a white male)

– he had his office searched several times

Many of the people who carried out these acts boasted that they were friendly with Lisa Moody.

Mr. Crumbie intends to keep the pressure on Governor Rell’s Adminstration until she validates the African-American community by getting directly involved in ridding state government of racial discrimination.
