Auditions for Dancers and Puppeteers for “FIRE”

One of my favorite Hartford Artists Anne Cubberly will be once again working with fashion designer Dan Blow on a new production “FIRE”. The fantasy is directed by Katie Stevenson-Noller and will be danced by the Full Force Dance Theater with live music composed and performed by Dan Blow.

Auditions will be held Saturday March 1, from 1 to 4 pm at the Hartford Courant Arts Center, Dance Studios of The Hartt School, located at 224 Farmington Ave, Hartford. Use the Niles Street entrance. According to the press release, “FIRE” is equal parts puppet pageant, dance concert, and drag-tacular, while still a wholesome family show.”

Anne Cubberly specializes in group performance, mask-making, giant puppets, sculptural paper mache’, and creating kinetic sculpture or automata from recycle materials. Anne’s puppets have been featured at TBLG PRIDE over the years and have always been a big hit.

The performance of “FIRE” will be held May 2, 3, and 4 at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, in downtown Hartford.
