Civil Unions and Marriage Equality. Come out to the hearing.
Come to Hartford on Monday to show support for
Marriage Equality!
RSVP if you think you can attend and if you are submitting written testimony
On Monday, March 17 beginning at 12noon in Room 2c in the Legislative Office Building, the Judiciary Committee will hear testimony about the problems that couples are facing with civil unions and the need to give same-sex couples FULL equality by passing marriage legislation.
Submit written testimony if you have faced legal problems, financial hardships or confusion with your own civil union. Maybe that confusion occured when dealing with a hospital, funeral home, or probate court. Or maybe it is the confusion that your children or family continue to face because society understands what marriage is but does not know what civil unions are.
If you don’t want to testify, we hope you’ll join us for some or all of the afternoon and wear an EQUALITY sticker to show support.
For more information on testifying and what is required, contact Carol Buckheit at Love Makes a Family at 860-525-7777, x313 or carol@lmfct.org

Just don’t let anyone take away our right to civil unions. Some of us won’t touch marriage with a 10 foot pole. I don’t care if Mr. and Mrs. doesn’t know what a civil union is. And I don’t want to be like them. Nor do I give a rats bottom what society thinks. Go change DOMA and then talk about marriage. Let’s think about Beyond Marriage.
If there is something wrong with the civil union bill then we only have our gay reps, lobbists, LMF to blame. We were told it was just as powerful as marriage or at least just the same. Liar, liar, pants on fire??? Oh Marriage, Ah, the same, We’ve come to that. It was a long way down.

Whats QWB getting all giddy over wedding cake, cars so fine, fancy dresses, and lots of presents? This is taking an injury to one is an injury to all a tad bit too far. I thought we were free of this I-do I-do on this site?
If this keeps up I will have to go spray my ideas somewhere else.
