Anti-War Spaghetti Dinner
6:00 pm Saturday June 14th
United Methodist Church of Hartford
571 Farmington Ave, Hartford
Help Send Activists to the National Assembly Against the War in Iraq in Cleveland Ohio. Nearly 500 organizations and leaders have joined the call for the National Assembly to End The War in Iraq scheduled for June 28-29 in Cleveland, Ohio. Called in order to “place on the agenda of the entire US antiwar movement a proposal for the largest possible united mass mobilization to stop the war and end the occupation,” the Assembly offers every participant a vote and the right to propose resolutions and amendments.
In order to involve as many activists in the Assembly as possible, we seek to remove all financial barriers to attendance by raising substantial funds for transportation, housing, and even registration. Our primary goal is to raise enough funds to charter a 55 seat bus to take participants to and from the conference.
For more information on the special anti-war dinner, to help raise the necessary funds for the trip, learn more about the national assembly and other local anti-war activity contact Beth at 203-448-9140 or e-mail ctyouth2cleveland@gmail.com. Registration:$10 (suggested) $25 (solidarity) Other donations are: table one person $40, ads in the program book, $50 full page add, $30-half page, $20 Quarter page. Book is 5.5X8.5.

So, can we just show up for the dinner, or do we have to register? Also, I’m not totally clear on the cost. I’m celebrating my birthday that night and am thinking about having my friends all meet up there. More info!
Kerri
A very Happy Birthday and Thanks for all that you do for the movements for peace, justice and liberation.
Guess you should call Beth or e-mail them. I just looked over another leaflet and the suggested donation is $10.00 and a Solidarity Contribution is $25. I don’t really know if one has to send in a rsvp, but maybe a good idea.
What a nice thing to do for your birthday and I am sure the young people going to the Assembly will appreciate it.
As Always

I was bummed because there was nothing going on that my friends and i would both agree on as “fun,” but everyone loves pasta, and this is right down the street from me, and it’s a good way to support people who have more energy than I do. Maybe if I ate more pasta I’d have more energy…hmm…
Happy birthday Kerri!
There’s no need to send an rsvp for this event. It’s pretty informal. All are welcome! Every energy level is valued!
Hope to See you there,
Dan
