This movie is about Brooklyn Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm and her campaign to become the democratic party’s presidential nominee in 1972. Come join us to honor her legacy with a screening of this historical documentary. The film will be followed by a community conversation with community leaders.

HEY for Shirley Chisholm!!! So right in saying our Dems today can really learn from her. Instead of running to the middle, throwing people under the bus, appealing to the right rather than standing for real change for what is good and needed. Then there is Shirley. Unbought and Unbossed. I am proud to have worked on her campaign to those of you who are too young to have known this woman she was real and all of us would not have to harbor a fear of being screwed over. Now she is a person to learn from and hope that another leader comes up to be unbought and unbossed.
