10/30: Queer Community Library Opening and Costume Party!
| October 30, 2009 7:00 pm | to | October 31, 2009 12:00 am |
After a year of slow work on the library collection formerly housed at Project 100, the Queer Community Library will be OPEN FOR BUSINESS beginning in November. Join us for the official opening–an open discussion on the state of the collection, continuing work, the direction we want to take it, the importance of such projects, etc etc.
Afterward we’ll have a killer costume party with food and refreshments. More info to follow; open library hours starting in November: To Be Determined.

Congrats to Matt, Paul, Pat and Roy for this outstanding project. Thank you to those who rescued the library from almost being dumped and those who transported the books to MCC. Thanks to MCC for creating this space to house ourstories and our thinking. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Take a bow wow.
We only hope that this information and invitation has been sent out to the community with the note to pass it on. The original library was a community effort and should remain a community library in more than just name. It is not just the property or the territory of MCC or QWB so all groups/individuals should have the chance to input their ideas. Get those invites rolling boys and girls if you haven't already. Date books are filling up for Halloween weekend.
